Precision Allied Health is a dedicated, friendly and experienced team of allied health clinicians in Hindmarsh who are committed to deliver high quality physiotherapy, podiatry, dietetic and diabetes education.

We provide evidenced-based treatments, advice and interventions. We work in a person-centred and a practical way to genuinely improve your health and well being.  We take a holistic approach to your health needs using the full capabilities of our service.

Qizhen Fong, Eric

PHYSIOTHERAPIST & LYMPHOEDEMA PRACTITIONER

Language Proficiency: English and Mandarin

Eric is a Physiotherapist with clinical experience in both private and public hospital settings. Eric is passionate about improving health literacy and awareness of Allied Health professionals and what we can offer to the community. His personal and professional experiences in medical health have reinforced his belief in accurate and timely correspondence with ancillary and medical staff to ensure optimal outcomes for his patients.

Under the NDIS Scheme, Eric’s portfolio of conditions include Stroke, Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinsons, Prada-Willi Syndrome and Charcot-Marie-Tooth.

On top of his role as a general Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, Eric has pursued further training to assist patients manage Lymphoedema and other oedematous conditions. His approach aligns itself to Complex Lymphoedema Therapy. As one of SA health approved Private Prescriber, he can assist patients with Lymphoedema access the full funding for compression garments under the SALCGSS.

Outside of work, Eric enjoys reading, the occasional staring into space, photography, and spending time with his wife.

After graduating with a Master of Physiotherapy from Flinders University in 2019, Mel has worked in a variety of settings including public hospitals, aged care and private practice. It’s within private practice that Mel developed a strong interest in Women’s health, inspiring her to undertake further study and attain her Level 1 Women’s Health Pelvic and Life Stages qualifications with the Australian Physiotherapy Association.

Women’s health presentation’s that she can provide tailored assessment and treatment of include:

  • Pregnancy related pain (e.g. pelvic and back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, upper back stiffness)
  • Pelvic floor dysfunction and incontinence throughout the lifespan
  • Neck, shoulder and upper back pain or stiffness associated with breastfeeding postures
  • Diastasis (separation) of abdominal muscles during pregnancy
  • Pregnancy related lower limb and vulvar varicosities

Mel is passionate about enabling pregnant women to feel strong and prepared for birth, as well as guiding and assisting them to recover and return to regular activities post birth.

Mel can also provide assessment and treatment of general musculoskeletal complaints, and has experience in working with Return to Work, Motor Vehicle Accident claim and NDIS clients. She prides herself in working with clients to understand what is important to them and takes a collaborative approach to enable them to achieve their goals.
